Opossum
The Virginia opossum (Didelphis virginiana), also known as the North American opossum is a solitary, nocturnal mammal found in the Americas from Costa Rica to southern Ontario. They are about the size of domestic cats with distinctive hairless prehensile tails, useful for carrying or grabbing branches. They also sport hind legs with opposable thumbs. Notably, opossums have more teeth (50!) than any land mammal of North America.
