Green Bottle Blue Tarantula
This distinctive tarantula is found across South America, but is native to the Paraguana Peninsula of Venezuela. It is a fairly large species, with a diagonal leg span of over 6 inches. It builds substantial funnel-shaped webs that are well suited to the variable climatic conditions of its habitat. These beauties tend to be more friendly than aggressive and prefer to retreat to the safety of their webs when confronted by a predator.
