Atlantic lobsters (Homarus americanus) are primarily found in the cold, rocky waters of the Atlantic Ocean along the eastern coast of North America, from North Carolina to Newfoundland. They are known for their longevity, living for several decades in the wild. They also have the ability to regenerate lost body parts, including claws and legs. Atlantic Lobsters are the world’s heaviest crustaceans. They can grow to over 2 feet long and weigh over 40 pounds!
