MARCH ORNITHOLOGY CLUB: NORTHERN GANNET AND GANNET PINK

The Northern Gannet are seabirds that nest in colonies as large as 75,000 pairs on both sides of the North Atlantic! They are seasonal migrators and amazing divers.

MARCH ENTOMOLOGY CLUB: MONARCH CHRYSALIS AND CHRYSALIS GREEN

It takes monarchs about one month to go from an egg to a flying adult! Adult monarchs will usually live two to six weeks in the summer time after emerging from their chrysalises. However Monarchs that migrate will live all winter, or about six to nine months!

MARCH BOTANY CLUB: BLUE-EYED GRASS AND GRASS FLOWER

Blue-Eyed Grass is native throughout North America, and despite its name it is actually a member of the Iris family! This pretty little plant blooms in late spring and early summer.
