June’s Newsletter!
Hi all and happy June!
I hope you’re enjoying the sunshine if you’re in a cooler climate, and staying cool if you’re in a warmer climate! We’ve been having a bit of a drought here in Vermont so I’m thrilled it started raining last night and is raining all day today. Perfect day to write our newsletter!
On a personal note, Rich and I have been enjoying time in the garden, chipping away at our construction projects, and just generally enjoying summer. As someone who struggles with seasonal depression, this is my favorite time of year! The world is just exploding with color and life, and I feel energized and optimistic. It’s a good feeling!
In this month’s newsletter in addition to the usual 7 new LYS Club colorways, the coordinating semisolid of the month, and Fan Club, we have some exciting NEWS!
NEWS:
First, we’ve added Herpetology to our Featured Collection! We’ve chosen our 10 favorite Herpetology colorways from our past LYS Club colors that represent a nice variety of colors and color families! We absolutely love how these knit up, and love dyeing them too! These are all dyed up in our Nebula Method. For a refresher on our different dye methods and how they knit up, visit our About our Dye Methods page!
Due to popular demand from our retail customers, we’re bringing back Spruce Worsted! Our Spruce worsted has the same super-high twist and durability of our Spruce Fingering base, and is from the same mill (100% US Grown/Spun Merino). We’ve also added it to our Yarn Tasting Bundle, so you can try it (and of course in the Yarn Tasting bundle it will be dyed in our Herpetology Method, so you can try that too!).

We’re discontinuing miniskeins on our Retail site ONLY. This means shops can continue to order them, we just won’t be holding stock for retail or baker’s dozens because we need room in the racks for our “new” base (we’re also sampling another NEW base… stay tuned for more info on that next month). We still have quite a few miniskeins in stock, so we’ve added a bunch of Sock Bundles and Shawl Bundles to our Sale page. Shop here!

Our sample knitters are now knitting swatches of ALL our new colors each month, so we’ll be posting those online and adding them to the website as they are completed! Here are a bunch we just added recently!
