September 2019 Newsletter!

Hi everyone!!!

First, I want to thank you all for wishing me a happy birthday and for making the birthday sale a huge success! :) It was the big 40! I’m loving it. Although the birthday coupon code has now expired you can shop our seconds at 50% in our Seconds Shop!

Also, of course, I want to show you September’s Club Colors! Willow finished dyeing them and they shipped out on September 1st. Here they are!

September Ornithology Club: Chipping Sparrow and Sparrow Buff.

September Entomology Club: Orchid Mantis and Mantis Pink.

September Botany Club: Bottle Gentian and Gentian Blue.

September Aquatic Club: Bluegill and Bluegill Blue.

We decided to get ahead a bit since we finally have a moment to breathe, so here’s a preview of October’s Colorways!

October Ornithology Club: Baltimore Oriole and Oriole Orange.

October Entomology Club: Lantern Maker Cicada and Cicada Green.

October Botany Club: Blackberries and Blackberry Juice.

October Aquatic Club: Sea Sheep and Sea Sheep Blue.

What can you make with our Club colors? We recommend you use our brighter colorways (or even the more muted ones) in the lace portion of a garment, to break up the pooling. Then, knit the stockinette portions out of a coordinating semisolid! Or, make stripes using  your colorways and coordinating semisolids! Or, if you just want a 1 skein colorway project, make a pair of socks, or a simple mesh shawl! Here are a few examples:

Top Row Left: Pattern- Holi Socks by Yarnia Designs, knit in Bufflehead by @knittingtherapy on Ravelry. Bottom Row Left: Pattern- Vanilla Latte Socks by Virginia Rose-Jeans, knit in Dogbane Beetle by @papabearknits on Ravelry. We hope you’re finding lots of opportunities to get outside and enjoy nature. And if you haven’t, we give you full permission to take a hike! Nothing is better for you than getting outside, breathing fresh air, and taking a moment to be in the moment.

Hugs,
Monica MacNeille
