November 2020 Newsletter!

Hey ya’ll! It really is officially Fall!!! Sweater weather… crunchy yummy smelling leaves under foot… hot beverage and soup time… OK, so I’m writing this in October, and it’s Vermont, so we could have a blizzard tomorrow. But I’m embracing Fall for as long as it lasts!

This month’s club colors are super bright and warm. AND, they were all recommendations from our LYSs! We hope you enjoy them!

November’s Club Colors!

November’s Botany Club: Beehive Ginger and Ginger Root.

November’s Aquatic Club: Strawberry Squid and Squid Pink.

November’s Ornithology Club: Golden Pheasant and Pheasant Teal.

November’s Geology Club: Lapis Lazuli and Jay Blue.

November’s Entomology Club: Painted Grasshopper Nymph and Grasshopper Gray.

November’s Feathered Favorites Club: Indigo Bunting and Bunting Blue.

Pattern Suggestions!

We are smitten with this little sweater by designer Marin Melchior! It is called Myrna’s Cardigan. It calls for fingering weight yarn, and is available in sizes 3-24 months. You can purchase the pattern at www.roundmountainfibers.com/patterns

Of course we are huge fans of Marin’s work in general, especially her Butterfly/Papillon shawl which many people have knit up in our yarn. It is a gorgeous pattern, perfect for mixing and matching our semisolids! https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/butterfly--papillon

Here are a few beautiful finished garments knit up in our yarns!

Here is a beautiful sweater knit up in our Geology colorway ‘Chalcopyrite’ made super soft by knitting it up along with a silk/mohair blend! This is such a great idea!

We’ve seen several of these beautiful cozy cowls knit up in our yarn lately. Dip into your stash, or order some mystery bundles from us (always 50% off HERE). Use 4 semisolids, or one colorway and 3 semisolids for a beautiful and cozy cowl that will keep you entertained with a variety of stitches.

Another great pairing of yarn and pattern. Despite our love of color, we do love us a nice neutral garment. https://www.ravelry.com/projects/amcp/the-road-trip-shawl
