December 2020 Newsletter!

Can you believe the year is almost over? It’s been a weird one, that’s for sure! I want to thank all of you for keeping us going. We’re small, so every one of your orders is super important to us and makes the difference between making it and not making it. So thank you for supporting our business! We are so grateful to be alive and well and we owe it all to you!

We have some exciting news! So without further ado, here’s what you’ll find in this month’s newsletter:

NEW Base: Birch Organic Fingering!

We’re super excited to announce the official addition of Birch, our new Organic fingering weight base, to our line of bases! Birch is very similar to our Alder base, except it is made with GOTS certified Organic Merino, and dyed using organic vinegar (and as always dyed with our Greener Shades dyes that are certified for organic processing).

Birch is 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Nylon. The Merino is sourced from South America, and has undergone a unique GOTS certified organic superwash process! This base DOES take the dye a little bit differently than the Alder, so you can expect colors to be a tiny bit lighter in shade on the Birch base than they are on the Alder.

Our Birch base is more expensive than our regular base, so skeins will retail for $32 instead of the $30 we charge for our other bases. If you’re interested in this base, please ask your LYS to order it!

NEW Print Catalog!

We’ve been wanting to offer a print catalog for a while! We offer so many different colors and bases and options, we know it’s hard to track them all, and it’s easy to get lost on the website when you’re trying to choose colors etc. We are hoping this new catalog will help our crazy die hard fans to choose what they want to knit up next! We have printed 100 copies and have added the catalog to our shop at www.roundmountainfibers.com/shop. We are charging what we paid for them to be printed ($8.50).

NEW Clubs!!!!

Are we crazy?! Maybe… but I really want to give this concept a real chance. These new clubs are designed for those of you who like to plan ahead: Those of you who like to choose a pattern first before you purchase yarn, or just those of you who like the idea of a club, but want to know what’s in it! It is the same concept as our Feathered Favorites club, for our Ornithology, Entomology, Botany and Aquatic collections. We are calling them Ornithology Revisited, Entomology Revisited, etc. Like our other clubs, you’ll have to purchase a subscription (or the individual skeins) from one of our LYSs. To check out these new clubs in the future, you can visit our website at www.roundmountainfibers.com/club! And stay tuned to our Instagram and Facebook each month to see who is carrying them!

We wish you a happy and healthy holiday season!

Hugs,
Monica and Willow
