Traceries ~ Fire and Ice
Jennifer Kirchenbauer of Lavish Crafts has designed many beautiful patterns specifically for Round Mountain Fibers, but she also has many wonderful patterns already published that work really well with our yarns. This pattern is one of those previously published patterns. The photos attached are of the pattern knit up in our yarn.
This is a double feature pattern (scarf and cowl), all information below and sample photos are of ‘Fire’ the scarf version only.
Fire (light worsted/long version)
Aprox. 400 yds (365 m) Light Worsted Yarn
~ Sample shown used 3 100g skeins of Spruce Worsted in Succulent Green and other Sample shown used 2 100g skeins of Willow DK in chrysalis Green.
US 10 (6 mm) Needles ~ or size that gets gauge
Blocking Wires &/or T-pins
Tapestry Needle ~ to sew in tails
Cable Needle ~ optional, for alt. wrapping method
Fire Sample (10 reps + exit per half):
6 X 98” (15.5 X 149 cm)
Gauge is not critical to either project, but will affect size and yardage requirements.
